Picking up where their taunting recent offering 'Whitewashing' left off, South London's POZI have shared the intentionally jarring new single from their forthcoming EP 176. Sonically recreating its frightening namesake, 'The Nightmare' utilises interestingly offset call and response call and response-style vocals to recreate the disorientating nature of a panic stricken bad dream or an unnerving social situation. Taking advantage of the diverse sonic qualities of her instrument, vocalist/violinist Rosa Brook's creative playing style shines through on 'The Nightmare', veering from unusually pitched strokes in the verses to a maddening solo that grows increasingly more deranged as it sees out the track. 176 will be release via Moshi Moshi offshoot PRAH Recordings on the on the 3rd of July. -Holly Mullineaux
